Who We Are
AMNATULLAH LEGACY FOUNDATION also known as AMANA LEGACY FOUNDATION (ALEF) is an Islamic Non-Profit organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (RC No. 181017). Our activities primarily involve the propagation of Islamic teaching and values through Education, Social Welfare and Human Capital Development.
The Foundation was established in memory of a man who dedicated his life to Islamic education and mentorship especially in Southern Nigeria, late Shaykh Muhammad Amanatullah (May Allah have mercy on his Soul). Shaykh Amanatullah as an expatriate and Islamic missionary worker, was the Director of Islamic Centre, Afikpo (now Ebonyi State) between 1984 to 2002 where he became influential for grooming Muslim boys and girls with sound Islamic and Arabic knowledge, coupled with solid moral character. These boys and girls, many of whom are now scattered in societies and communities around the world, continue to embody his teaching and spread his message of True Knowledge, Sound Morals and Just Society.
As the name Amanatullah translates, (THE TRUST OF ALLAH), Shaykh Amanatullah lived his life conscious of the great trust that Allah has placed upon each and every Muslim and inculcated that same sense of trust in all his students.
What We Do
Conscious of this trust, we at Amanatullah Legacy Foundation are committed to improving the overall welfare and wellbeing of members of the Muslim Community in our own little way. In this light, we are involved in:
- Setting up of schools to cater for sound Islamic education modelled after that of our late Shaykh, Muhammad Amanatullah.
- Granting Scholarships to children of the less privileged.
- Engaging in grassroots Dawah in communities especially in Southern Nigeria.
- Empowering youths and women with non-interest revolving loans for small and medium scale businesses.
- Outright welfare grant to widows and vulnerable persons within our communities.
- Skill acquisition, entrepreneurial trainings for Muslim youths, male and female.
- Supporting various projects and programmes beneficial to the Muslim Community in Nigeria.
We are able to do all of the above due the goodwill and support of a lot of our donors and sponsors. May Allah reward them all and increase their resources. Aamin.
